Abstract

The article examines the phenomenon of mental programming as one of the key tools for influencing human behavior in the modern information society. Mental programming is interpreted as the systematic formation and consolidation of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral patterns through external influences –informational, verbal, visual, emotional, and technological. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between the concepts of “learning,” “manipulation,” and “mental programming,” as well as their distinctive features and mechanisms. At the theoretical and methodological level, classical and modern concepts of influencing consciousness are analyzed: behaviorism, neurolinguistic programming (NLP), information field theory, concepts of media manipulation, and behavioral psychology. The authors highlight the main mechanisms of mental programming, including repetition and reinforcement, the introduction of semantic anchors, the use of emotional triggers, as well as the influence of digital technologies and personalized content algorithms. Practical examples of behavior programming in the fields of education, marketing, politics, and social engineering are examined. Special attention is paid to ethical and legal aspects: the problem of the limits of permissible interference in personal autonomy, issues of responsibility for the formation of behavioral attitudes, as well as the challenges of the digital age, in which the psyche becomes the object of targeted programming. The risks and challenges associated with violating the boundaries of personal autonomy, manipulating consciousness, and losing critical thinking are also discussed. In conclusion, the need for a comprehensive approach to the study of mind programming at the intersection of psychology, neuropsychology, philosophy, law, and information technology – is emphasized with the aim of developing effective and ethically sound strategies for interacting with human consciousness.
