PERSONAL IDENTITY OF YOUTH IN FORCED EMIGRATION: STRUCTURAL AND CONTENT ANALYSIS

The article presents a theoretical analysis of the problem of personal identity in adolescence under conditions of forced еmigration. The main approaches to understanding identity have been reviewed, conceptualizing it as a dynamic construct formed through active interaction between the individual and the social environment, as well as through reflection on personal experience. It has been established that identification functions as a mechanism of socialization, whereas identity represents an integrated outcome of the internalization of values, norms, and social experience. Particular attention has been paid to the analysis of the social situation of development in adolescence. It has been shown that adolescence is a sensitive period for identity formation, as it is characterized by intensive personal and professional self-determination, the development of reflexivity, and the structuring of the value-meaning sphere of personality. The impact of the migration crisis has been analyzed as a liminal and traumatic situation accompanied by the disruption of familiar sociocultural anchors, loss of stability, and destabilization of identification structures. It has been found that forced еmigration leads to an identity crisis manifested in a conflict between the previous self-image and new life conditions. Based on the conducted theoretical analysis, a structural-content model of adolescents’ personal identity under conditions of forced еmigration has been developed, comprising three interrelated components: personal, social, and value-based. The personal component reflects the internal integrity and uniqueness of the subject, the social component reflects involvement in interpersonal relations, while the value component acts as a system-forming element ensuring the integration of all identity dimensions. It has been demonstrated that in conditions of forced еmigration, the value component becomes dominant, as it enables the re-evaluation of life orientations and serves as an internal resource for identity reconstruction. It has been established that the key mechanism of this process is self-reflection, which allows the integration of traumatic experience into a coherent life narrative and the restoration of the sense of continuity of the self.
