DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA AND METHODS OF RESEARCH OF FEATURES OF MEANING FOR MEANING IN ADULT

Abstract

The current uncertainty of the social, economic and political situation forces a person to constantly determine his position and view of the world. The solution to this important question is connected first of all with the activity of the individual's consciousness, which is aimed at discovering the meanings of the events that are taking place and understanding one's own life. There is a constant search for new meanings, on the basis of which it would be possible to determine their place and vital role in changing reality. It is important to know the peculiarities of the process of transforming needs into motives and meaning in general in adults. Thus, determining the psychological features of meaning-making in adulthood is an urgent scientific and practical task. The article presents methods for studying the processes and psychological features of meaning-making in adulthood. The levels and criteria of meaning-making in adulthood according to the hierarchical principle (from the least formed to the most formed level of meaning-making) were also determined. The structure of the study of the peculiarities of the formation of meaning of adults with the following methods: self-actualization test (CAT), Kettell test questionnaire (16 PF), aimed at studying socially determined dispositions (character) of the individual differences in personality traits, 16-scale semantic differential, scale of attitudes, method of boundary meanings (ISS) DA Leontiev, method GA Aminev: "Commandments of Bliss". The presented methodological tools were used to analyze the psychological features of meaning-making in adulthood. The results of the study can be used in the practical work of psychologists with adult clients to identify psychological characteristics and diagnose the formation of meaning in adulthood.
