Abstract

The article covers the concept of stressful conditions, their characteristics and types of manifestations. The psychological features of the manifestation of stressful conditions among children, the dynamics of their manifestations, have been determined. This led to the conduct of research on the manifestations of stress among children, as well as the definition and analysis of the main types of stressful situations of children. The main manifestations of stressful conditions are considered. The main types of assistance to children in stressful situations are characterized. Stressful states are associated with the war in Ukraine, since the conflict in the east of the country has been ongoing since 2014, where military clashes between the Ukrainian army and militants of pro-Russian separatist groups have become frequent phenomena. This war resulted in a large number of human casualties and the forced displacement of more than 1.5 million people. Such events can trigger various stress reactions, such as anxiety, fear, depression, feelings of helplessness, and posttraumatic stress disorder. In Ukraine, since the beginning of the conflict in the east of the country in 2014, children have become one of the most vulnerable population groups. Although violence and conflict have a negative impact on all people, children can suffer particularly hard. Therefore, the study of stress in children is very relevant, since in the modern world children are exposed to a significant number of stressful situations that can negatively affect their physical and psychological health. For example, stress can cause sleep problems, low mood, impaired learning and development, poor health, and a weakened immune system. The study of stress in children helps parents, teachers and other professionals understand what factors can cause stress in children and what methods can help avoid or reduce the effects of stress. Research can also help develop effective programs to reduce stress and improve psychological well-being in children. Organizations and psychologists work to help those affected by war, providing psychological support, therapy and counseling for those who need help coping with stress and trauma. In this article, we will consider the psychological state of children in Ukraine during the war.
