Abstract

The article defines that the educational discipline «Fundamentals of psychocorrection» is a selective educational discipline, the purpose of which is to study and understand the basic principles and methods of correction of psychological states and processes. In accordance with the goal, the logical sequence of teaching lectures and practical classes has been proven. It has been proven that the educational component of «Fundamentals of psychocorrection» can cover such aspects as self-regulation of emotions, development of positive thinking strategies, methods of working with stress and anxiety, techniques of influencing one's own beliefs and behavior, as well as means of supporting mental health, which can become an effective auxiliary source in future professional activity. It is emphasized that the program of the educational discipline «Fundamentals of psychocorrection» is built according to the requirements of the credit-module system of the organization of the educational process in higher educational institutions, recommended by the European credit-transfer system (EСTS). It is substantiated that the curriculum of the course «Fundamentals of psychocorrection» is drawn up in accordance with the requirements of the Standard of Higher Education, approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 565 dated 04.24.2019 for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education in the specialty 053 «Psychology» and is oriented towards personal and professional growth of future psychologists. It is noted that the process of becoming a practical psychologist as a specialist requires him to master new knowledge necessary to perform complex specialized tasks, including mastering modern technologies for the correction of psychological states of the individual. It is emphasized that the most important issue of practical psychology is providing assistance to a person in selfactualization and self-realization of his inner potential, in achieving the harmony of his inner world, improving subjective well-being and mental health.
