In the era of information technology, we are observing a change in the scientific paradigm in the field of development of sexual culture of society. These changes contribute to both successful trends in the formation of sexual self-identity of young people and deviant ones. The low level of culture of sexual development contributes to the uncritical attitude of young people to sexual content on the Internet, sexual violence. Therefore, the development of the sexual part of self-awareness, as part of a healthy personality, is an important psychological and pedagogical task in the modern era. The purpose of the article is a theoretical analysis and generalization of the subject-object interaction of the psychology of individual sexuality and the sexual culture of society in various scientific directions; the identification of search and educational criteria for the diagnosis and development of the culture of individual sexual development. Research methods: theoretical analysis of the scientific literature of the modern era on the topic selected for research, critical analysis of the topic in the context of leading psychological directions, systematization of research results and identification of criteria for research into the psychology of individual sexuality. Results: The article provides a theoretical analysis of the problem of forming a culture of sexuality, in particular, sexual self-identification of an individual. The topic is analyzed in terms of various research directions. The criteria for research and development of the psychology of individual sexuality in the modern paradigm are identified. Conclusions: The criteria for the development of the psychology of individual sexuality are studied through the prism of the relationship of subject-object interaction, where the subject is the sexual self-identification of an individual, and the object is the sexual culture of the society with which it interacts. This interaction is modified in various scientific concepts. Therefore, the following forms of mutual influence of the sexual culture of society and the sexual self-identification of the individual are traced: determinism, synergy, dialogism, spirituality, semantics, two-sidedness and creative orientation, metacognition and self-construction of reality. Based on this, we have identified the criteria for the formation and diagnosis of the sexual culture of the individual: value-based, reflective, spiritual, psychoanalytic, informational, emotional, ethical and existential responsibility, communicative, socio-legal, educational and pedagogical.
